The evening of Tuesday, October 7th, on the rooftop pool deck of The Meridian Hotel was, without a doubt, an unforgettable soiree. Under the mystical glow of the full moon, Elmira Shahzeidi’s LUNA – A Persian Sound Bath experience unfolded as an authentic cultural and sensory journey.
The event was no ordinary sound bath; it was a deep immersion that transported attendees far beyond South Florida, into a realm of renewal and awakening. The evening began with gentle stretching, allowing the body to connect with the here and now, while the ocean breeze and lush tropical greenery created the perfect backdrop.
The heart of the night was the transcendent soundscape. The healing vibrations of the crystal bowls uniquely merged with emotive Persian melodies performed live on the violin and guitar. This rich musical blend served as the soundtrack for a guided meditation and breathwork session, which helped participants align with the powerful energy of the full moon.
The Persian rituals were what truly set this experience apart. Attendees took part in a cleansing with rose water, a liberating flower release, and the ancient act of burning esfand (wild rue) for protection and purification of the soul. In a moment that touched many hearts, a passage of Persian poetry was shared, adding a layer of inspiration and mysticism.
Upon concluding the sound and ritualistic journey, connection deepened with the sharing of saffron-infused Persian tea, Platform’s signature iced tea, and the tasting of dates and lemon-infused water.
